OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (ICT60220) is designed for individuals seeking advanced technical and managerial expertise in ICT. This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled professionals who work independently or lead teams to deliver complex ICT solutions. Students gain specialist skills across data management, cyber security, full-stack development, programming, and ICT strategy—preparing them for senior roles in a fast-evolving digital world. 

Graduates will be equipped to forecast enterprise network growth, design secure systems, manage ICT projects, and provide strategic direction in technology-driven organisations. 

• Advanced Data Management – Design, create, and monitor complex systems to optimise organisational knowledge. 

• Cyber Security – Develop security architecture, implement contingency planning, and safeguard sensitive data. 

• Full-Stack Web Development – Build advanced user interfaces, REST APIs, and UX solutions. 

• Programming – Apply advanced coding languages to manage data and security. 

• ICT Strategy & Development – Manage strategic ICT business solutions and communicate them across organisations. 

• Systems Analysis – Model and test ICT system solutions. 

• Telecommunications Engineering – Apply regulatory and logistical expertise to network projects. 

• Location: 100 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane QLD 4006 

• Delivery Mode: Face-to-face (classroom-based) 

• Duration: 52 weeks (44 study weeks + 8 holiday weeks) 

• Study Load: 20 hours per week in class + approx. 5 hours self-study 

• Work Placement: 240 hours 

This program is open to international students who: 

• Are at least 18 years old at commencement 

• Have completed Australian Year 12 (or equivalent) 

• Demonstrate English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent, valid within 2 years) or completion of General English / EAP (Upper Intermediate) 

• Complete an LLN (Language, Literacy & Numeracy) test at orientation 

Students are assessed through a variety of methods, including: 

• Research and case studies 

• Portfolios and projects 

• Role plays and workplace reflections 

• Supervisor reports 

Graduates may pursue roles such as: 

• ICT Project Manager 

• Cyber Security Consultant 

• ICT Systems Manager 

• Telecommunications Network Engineer 

• ICT Strategy Advisor 

Pathway opportunities include progression to higher education degrees in Cyber Security (subject to university entry requirements).
