Their knowledge base may be highly specialised or broad within the marketing and communications field. Typically they are accountable for group outcomes and the overall performance of the marketing and communication, advertising, or public relations functions of an organisation.

Entry requirements

Though the training package does not stipulate any entry requirements, ACTB uses the following criteria for entry into this qualification:

  • Domestic students
    • Aged 18+
  • International students
    • Aged 18+
    • IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English proficiency
    • Completed high school, or equivalent
  • Completed all core units in BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication (for both international and domestic students):
    • BSBPMG430 Undertake project work
    • BSBMKG522 Design and develop marketing communication plans
    • BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate market opportunities
    • BSBMKG542 Establish and monitor the marketing mix
    • BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy
Qualification and recognition

Students who successfully complete this qualification will be awarded the nationally recognised BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication.
