Graduates of this course may progress to AQF Level 8 qualifications such as a Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) or other postgraduate programs in business and leadership (subject to entry requirements). 

All essential learning materials are included in your fees. ACTB provides unit resources, case studies, and digital content to support your studies. Trainers also incorporate practical workplace examples so that your learning connects directly with the challenges faced in senior business roles. 

The Advanced Diploma is delivered face-to-face at ACTB’s Brisbane campus, allowing for interactive, discussion-based learning with experienced trainers. Assessments are designed to reflect real-world challenges and include: 

• Written reports and strategic documents 

• Presentations and case study projects 

• Role plays and observations 

• Problem-solving tasks and workplace simulations 

This ensures you graduate with both theoretical knowledge and the confidence to apply it in professional practice. 

• Location: 100 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, QLD 4006 

• Delivery Mode: Face-to-face, classroom-based 

• Duration: 52 weeks (44 study weeks + 8 holiday weeks) 

• Study Load: 20 classroom hours per week (plus approx. 5 hours of self-study) 

• Intakes: January, April, July, October 

Entry is restricted to applicants who have either: 

• Completed a BSB Diploma or Advanced Diploma (current or superseded), or 

• Two years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role. 

In addition, international applicants must be at least 18 years of age, meet ACTB’s English and academic requirements, and complete an LLN assessment at orientation. 

To complete the Advanced Diploma of Business, students must achieve competency in 10 units: 5 core and 5 electives.

• BSBSUS601 Lead corporate social responsibility 

• BSBFIN601 Manage organisational finances

• BSBSTR601 Manage innovation and continuous improvement 

• BSBLDR601 Lead and manage organisational change 

• BSBLDR602 Provide leadership across the organisation 

• BSBTWK601 Develop and maintain strategic business networks 

• BSBINS601 Manage knowledge and information 

These units are tailored to develop high-level leadership skills and strategic decision-making ability in complex business environments. 

Graduates may continue to: 

• Graduate Diplomas (AQF Level 8) in management or leadership, 

• Bachelor or Master-level business programs (subject to entry requirements), or 

• Senior roles in organisations, such as business director, operations manager, or strategic leader.
