Unique Student
Identifier (USI)

Since 1 January 2015, the Australian government requires all new and current students enrolled in vocational colleges to obtain a ‘Unique Student Identifier’ (USI).If you do not have a USI, you need to obtain it as soon as possible. It is FREE. You can find more details about this new initiative on the Australian Government Website: http://www.usi.gov.au/Pages/default.aspx .

Please follow the instructions in the downloadable file ‘Steps to Create your own USI’ and forward a copy of your USI at admin@actb.com.au . If you create your own USI, you need to send one of the following as evidence of your USI.

• A snapshot of the web page showing your USI number
• Forward a copy of the email you receive from the USI website after registration
